Founder & Art Education Consultant

I’m Roxana Corradino—educator, author, and Founder & Creative Director of Art and Joy, Inc. I believe art invites us to look closely, ask thoughtful questions, and discover meaningful connections across subjects and generations. A proud alumna of Florida International University, I earned my B.F.A. in 2000 and now teach Exploring Art as an adjunct lecturer in Art and Art History. In 2003, I earned my M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. With 25 years of college teaching experience, alongside teaching art and drama to learners from young children through adults, I bring curiosity, creativity, and practical guidance to every learning experience. I am the author of the textbook The Joy of Art and mentor dual enrollment teachers, helping educators turn ideas into engaging instruction. Through Art and Joy, Inc., I bring together my love of art, the humanities, writing, and faith to support schools, families, educators, and small businesses. My work centers on personal connection: sitting together, exploring possibilities, and creating something people can put into practice. And my favorite title? Mama to Matteo, my fun, feisty boy, who keeps life adventurous and reminds me that curiosity rarely follows a tidy lesson plan!
